Artwork Scanning

We provide an artwork scanning and reproduction service for artists who wish to make art prints. We scan every weekday. When you drop your art off we will confirm the type of scans you would like.

Scans are completed in 1-2 business days. If you have more than 3 scans we might require an extra day.

What you get:

Raw scans 
1 x raw tiff file straight from the scanner/camera.
You are emailed a link to download your file. You may also bring a USB drive to transfer the file.

Raw Scans are good for artists who are capable of editing their own raw files and want to simply take advantage of our scanning studio only. Saves you money especially if you have the time and skills to edit files yourself.

Complete Scans 
1 x Edited tiff file: colour corrected, spot cleaned, not cropped or scaled.
1 x Print File: One with borders and one full-bleed
1 x A4 Test Print on epson enhanced matte paper
1 x A2 Test Strip on epson enhanced matte paper
You are emailed a link to download your file. You may also bring a USB drive to transfer the file.

Complete Scans are good for artists who need to scan their original artworks, to then make fine art prints.

Artist Services Art Scanning Terms

Like all of our services, you must own the copyright of an artwork you are scanning.

Files are provided as a cloud link for you to then download and save (and back up). 
Files are archived for 12 months, but back ups are your own responsibility.

We scan with printing art prints in mind. This means we create print files with more/less saturation, brightness, vibrance and contrast than your original painting, with the aim to make sure if it was printed it would look amazing.

Colours will be incredibly close, but the nature of scanning means there will be some difference. The Complete Scans include one re-touch and test strip if you require a file tweak from the first file provided.

Further art-working is available $95 p/h with 30 minutes being the minimum charged.

Maximum size of original artwork that we can scan = 1200mm x 1200mm.

Some types of mediums can be very tricky to scan, here are some works that we probably wont be able to create an accurate scan of:
- reflective mediums like high gloss varnishes, resined paintings, or framed work behind glass.
- Gold or Silver.
- 3D works like framed objects.
